I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at UC Davis and the former Davis Unit Chair (April 2012- April 2014) of the UC Student-Workers Union UAW 2865 (the union that represents Teaching Assistants, Readers, Associate Instructors, and Tutors at the UC) and a proud member of AWDU (Academic Workers for a Democratic Union - the old reform caucus in the union) while it was in existence, and currently CLEW (Collective Liberation for Education Workers -the latest reform caucus in the union). I am interested in the sociology of work, sociology of education, and political economy.

This blog will be a repository for reflections on the above topics, or polemics against political opponents in the movement for a more just world, either in the union, at the UC, or just in society at large.
